One of the main reasons why our websites are not marked up is due to the disorder of the code. Here are the differences between Schema, Rich Snippets, and Structured Data.
Schema
Schema is an agreed term that websites use so it's easier and consistent to create code to mark up their website pages so that they can be crawled better by the search engine. Schema markup is a language used to define structured data. It defines terms in the form of properties and classes defined as URLs suitable for describing types of resources, such as “Person” and properties of and “knows”.
Rich Snippets
Rich snippets are extra information about the website page contents on the search engine result page. They can show review ratings and aggregate rating reviews which are found in the local boxes. The Rich Snippets are more important than the rankings because they give your website to stand out in the organic search and greatly improve CTR.
Structured Data
Structured data is a term to describe when adding on to a website, for instance, Rich snippet, schema, and twitter cards are the examples of Structured data. Google reads and identifies structured data, so it can display rich snippets in its search results. Google’s Structured Data is the practice of describing the website data. Providing information about a page and classifying its web content for search engines.
